Graphic Novelist Mike Carey Joins Canon Tales Lineup

The latest exciting addition to the Conference programme is film writer and graphic novelist Mike Carey (DC Comics, 2000 AD, Marvel), who will join the entertaining and revealing rapid-fire slide show,  Canon Tales, on Saturday June 14th. Mike says: ‘I’m delighted to take part as it looks like it will be an amazing event.’ Others who will bare their writing souls in Canon Tales include novelist Kamila Shamsie whose sixth novel, A God in Every Stone, has recently been published to rapturous acclaim. Granta Editor Max Porter, whose magic touch helped Eleanor Catton’s The Luminaries win the Booker Prize and become an international best-seller, will also be appearing, alongside YA Literary Agent Hannah Sheppard from DH Literary Agency.  Don’t miss a unique chance to benefit from their insights and experience and book your Conference Pass now.

In addition, others amongst the new speakers since we first launched the Conference in January are SfEP-accredited copy-editor and proofreader Richard Sheehan, who will talk about how different types of editing work, Amy Tipper from Amazon KDP & CreateSpace, who will join Kobo Writing Life and others to ensure you are offered an invaluable free Bonus Day on Sunday 15th geared specifically towards providing writers with practical sessions to help them through the process of writing successfully in a digital age.

To help you get there, we are offering an attractive discount to members of our Conference Partners, the Royal Society of Literature and the Alliance of Independent Authors, as well as to those of you booking in groups of 3 or more.  Get together, and join us for an intensive 3-day event which will change your writing life.

For a full programme visit the Conference web page, and see our list of Speakers here. And don’t miss out the chance to enter the Pen Factor Writing Competition, with prizes worth £3, 000 courtesy of 2014 sponsor Kobo Writing Life.
