Martyn Beardsley writes fiction and non-fiction for children and adults. His Sir Gadabout books have been published in several countries, and were turned into an award-winning series for CITV. His Victorian crime novel Murder in Montague Place features Bleak House’s Inspector Bucket, and his first book for the adult non-fiction market was Deadly Winter, a biography of the Arctic explorer and Trafalgar veteran Sir John Franklin. Due out in 2023 is the story of ‘Flannelfoot’, a notorious and prolific burglar of the twenties and thirties. Martyn is a Buddhist, and practises Tai Chi. Other non-fiction interests include true crime, ghosts, UFOs, alternative health, sport, and genealogy.
