TLC Showcase writer and winner of the TLC Pen Factor Writing Competition Guinevere Glasfurd has sold the UK rights to her debut novel, The Words In My Hand to Two Roads. The book is due for publication in 2016, and a German edition with Ullstein has been scheduled for release in September, following the book’s acquisition at the London Book Fair. Set in the 17th century Dutch Republic, The Words In My Hand tells the story of Helena Jans van der Strom, a Dutch servant girl, her relationship with René Descartes and their daughter.
As part of her TLC Pen Factor prize, Guinevere will be attending TLC events and enrolling on our Chapter and Verse mentoring scheme, to support her in the writing of her second book.
