Terms and Conditions

TLC Power Hour Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions, together with our privacy policy govern The Literary Consultancy’s relationship with you in relation to TLC Power Hour.

Payment

  • Payment must be made in full, in advance of booking your Power Hour.

Refunds and Rescheduling

  • If you need to re-arrange your Power Hour, you must let the TLC office know in writing at least 24 hours before the agreed start time of your session. We will offer you an alternate time and date where possible.
  • If TLC needs to re-arrange your Power Hour owing to circumstances outside of our control, we will make every effort to contact you and will offer you an alternate date and time. If no mutually convenient date and time can be found, we will refund you in full without delay.
  • Any no-show will be considered a cancellation.
  • Arrival beyond 15 minutes after the start time will be considered a cancellation and no refund will be given. In the event of late arrival no alternate date will be offered. The end time of your Power Hour will not be extended in the event of a late arrival.
  • Once a Power Hour has been scheduled, no refunds will be given unless as described above in the case that TLC is the cancelling party and is unable to find you a suitable alternate date.

Accessibility

  • Your Power Hour will take place via Zoom, and will include captions if required. We are also able to provide a recording of your session with access to the transcript file if needed. If another form of communication is preferred, or if you have any specific access requirements, please notify the TLC office at least 3 days’ clear of your scheduled session and we will make our best efforts to accommodate your request.

Confidentiality

  • All discussions during TLC Power Hours are treated as confidential, and we will not share or disclose any information concerning you or your writing.
  • We may contact you requesting feedback, and commit to being fully transparent about how we use any feedback shared with us for monitoring or marketing purposes. Providing feedback is entirely at your discretion.

Conduct

  • TLC commits to upholding the highest professional standards of care. We expect clients to behave in a professional manner and reserve the right to stop working with a client should their manner be offensive to our staff, or harmful in any way.
