In this beginner-friendly session, we use yoga to move past blocks and superficial, automatic writing to get into the deeper stuff. Starting with postures and meditation, your facilitator will gently guide you to get closer to the truth of what you want to say as a writer. This session includes a deep relaxation exercise and some writing prompts, and will end with a visualisation to help us bring the pieces together.
You will need comfortable loose-fitting but not baggy clothes, writing materials, and either a mat or a safe space to practise. You may wish to bring a blanket.
Ana Garcia Garnett is a London based yoga teacher, teaching dynamic vinyasa, hatha, yin, kids and teen yoga. She also teaches meditation and pranayama (breathing practice) and loves to teach yoga to people who think they can’t do yoga. Ana is also a writer and a TLC Literary Adventure alumna.
