Post Feedback Workshop

May 13 @ 10:00 am 5:00 pm

The post feedback workshop truly helped me to organize my editor’s feedback into actionable steps that I now intend to implement with conviction and confidence!

Getting professional feedback can be transformative, but once your notes are in, it’s up to you to action them. It can sometimes feel confusing trying to work out the next best steps. That’s why we have created post-feedback workshops, where we use our REVISE model to help you build a strategy to implement professional feedback, and level up your writing.

How it works

A facilitator will guide you through a series of exercises that will help clarify your intentions with your work, sort through editorial suggestions, and create a roadmap and timeline for revisions. We will take you through our REVISE model to build a framework for how to implement your edits.

You will leave with a comprehensive plan to self-edit your writing project, to get you to the next stage. You will also have a suite of digital resources, yours to keep, all based around the specific writing project you intend to self-edit.

Who is this workshop for?

You must have had professional editing. The majority of spaces are reserved for TLC clients, but you do not have to have used our services to attend as these principles can be applied to any professional feedback. These sessions have been designed to help you implement that feedback so that you can move forwards with your writing. This workshop will be most useful for writers who have had feedback, but not yet started to implement it, or are feeling unsure about how to get started.

Accessibility

This session will be hosted on Zoom, with automated captions provided by Otter.ai and the option to activate a live transcript. Please note that this workshop is live, not pre-recorded. A watch-back video will be provided, but live attendance is strongly encouraged to get the most out of the content. The workshop includes one short break-out group with other writers, as well as a series of practical exercises you will be completing within the session. There is one short 5-minute comfort break at the midway point. If you have any specific access requirements, please may we ask you to email us at least 10 working days clear of the session at

I really enjoyed this new take on how to evaluate and edit your drafts. Combining a reader’s report with this accessible tool is a fantastic way to activate your own editing skills and make the best choices for your writing. Aki was a warm, clear and precise workshop leader who guided us through the tricky process of evaluating works in progress.
