Vicky Grut’s short fiction has been published in anthologies and collections by Picador, Granta, Serpent’s Tail and Bloomsbury, and has won or been shortlisted for a number of prizes, including the Asham award and the Trip Fiction prize. Her collection ‘Live Show, Drink Included’ was shortlisted for the Edge Hill Short Story Prize in 2019. She also writes nonfiction and memoir. She was a contributor to Garden Among Fires: A Lockdown Anthology, and her work has been published in Psyche/Aeon magazine in the UK, and Kitchen Table Quarterly and Harvard Review in the US. A personal essay, ‘Into the Valley’, was listed in Best American Essays 2013. She has worked in academic publishing as a copy editor and she currently teaches creative writing at the City Lit Institute and the University of Greenwich.
