Helen Gordon’s books include Notes from Deep Time, a work combing nature, travel and science writing, and Landfall, a novel. Her journalism has appeared in, among other places, the TLS, the Guardian, the Economist’s 1843 magazine and Wired. She is a former Granta magazine and book editor, and teaches creative writing at the University of Hertfordshire as well as working as a freelance editor.
