Post Feedback Workshop

Getting professional feedback on your writing can be transformative, but once your notes are in, it’s up to you to action them. It can sometimes feel confusing trying to work out the next best steps. That’s why we have created our post feedback workshop. In two hours with a supportive group of fellow writers, use our REVISE model to build a strategy to implement feedback, and level up your writing.

Previous participants have attended having had feedback from:

  • A professional editor (e.g., a manuscript assessment report)
  • A mentor
  • A writing group
  • An academic programme like a Creative Writing PhD or MA.

How it works

In our post feedback workshop, a facilitator will guide you through a series of practical exercises that will help clarify your intentions with your work, sort through editorial suggestions, and create a roadmap and timeline for revisions. We will take you through our REVISE model to build a framework for how to implement your edits.

You will leave with a comprehensive plan to self-edit your writing project, to get you to the next stage. You will also have a suite of digital resources, yours to keep, all based around the specific writing project you intend to self-edit.

A maximum of 12 places are available for each Post Feedback Workshop.

Who is this workshop for?

You must have had feedback on your writing, which you can bring to this session. The majority of spaces on our post feedback workshop are reserved for TLC clients, but you do not have to have used our services to attend, as these principles can be applied to any professional feedback. This workshop will be most useful for writers who have had feedback, but not yet started to implement it, or are feeling unsure about how to get started.

TLC clients can access a 50% discount, please simply email the office for a coupon code.

2 free spaces are reserved for Being A Writer members.

The workshop includes one short break-out group with other writers, as well as a series of practical exercises you will be completing within the session.
