The reading panel for the TLC Pen Factor Writing Competition 2018 have now finalised a longlist and shortlist. It is the first time we have had such a long longlist, which stands testament to the quality of work submitted. The variety of work was particularly encouraging. We would like to thank everyone who entered, and wish all the writers the best of luck on their onward journeys.
The five shortlisted writers will pitch their work this coming Saturday 23rd June at our sold-out Writers’ Day to a panel of live-pitch judges: literary agents Robert Caskie (Caskie Mushens), Niki Chang (The Good Literary Agency), and Zoë King (The Blair Partnership), and publisher Sharmaine Lovegrove (Dialogue Books). The judges will decide on a winner, who will win a writing development prize worth over £1,500.
