TLC’s Pen Factor Writing Competition is now open for submissions. Devised as part of the Writing in a Digital Age conference, this year the competition is sponsored by Kobo Writing Life. The competition is open to all Conference delegates and offers writers the opportunity to submit a synopsis and sample chapters of a finished work, or a work in progress. Fifteen shortlisted writers will be invited to ‘pitch’ their work to a live panel of industry professionals, getting feedback on the work, and the winning writer will receive a year’s Talent Support from TLC, including editorial and advisory support, as well as free access to TLC events throughout the year, and a Kobo e-reader. Two runners-up will also be awarded an e-reader, and the winner and runners-up will receive a free professional author photo shoot courtesy of Kobo Writing Life.
