SUMMARY:Post Feedback Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Post Feedback Workshop truly helped me to organise my editor’s feedback into actionable steps that I now intend to implement with conviction and confidence! \n\n\n\nPost Feedback Workshop Participant \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis workshop is a valuable resource for writers who need an accessible toolkit (the REVISE model) in order to tackle their edits. \n\n\n\nPost Feedback Workshop Participant \n\n\n\n\n\nGetting professional feedback can be transformative\, but once your notes are in\, it’s up to you to action them. It can sometimes feel confusing trying to work out the next best steps. That’s why we have created our post-feedback workshop. Using our REVISE model\, we will help you build a strategy to implement professional feedback\, and level up your writing. Previous participants have attended having had feedback from: \n\n\n\n\nA professional editor (e.g.\, a manuscript assessment report)\n\n\n\nA mentor\n\n\n\nA writing group\n\n\n\nAn academic programme\n\n\n\n\nHow it works\n\n\n\nA facilitator will guide you through a series of practical exercises that will help clarify your intentions with your work\, sort through editorial suggestions\, and create a roadmap and timeline for revisions. We will take you through our REVISE model to build a framework for how to implement your edits.   \n\n\n\nYou will leave with a comprehensive plan to self-edit your writing project\, to get you to the next stage. You will also have a suite of digital resources\, yours to keep\, all based around the specific writing project you intend to self-edit. \n\n\n\nWho is this workshop for? \n\n\n\nYou must have had feedback on your writing\, which you can bring to this session. The majority of spaces are reserved for TLC clients\, but you do not have to have used our services to attend\, as these principles can be applied to any professional feedback. This workshop will be most useful for writers who have had feedback\, but not yet started to implement it\, or are feeling unsure about how to get started. \n\n\n\nAccessibility\n\n\n\nThis session will be hosted on Zoom\, with automated captions provided by Otter.ai and the option to activate a live transcript. Please note that this workshop is live\, not pre-recorded. The workshop includes one short break-out group with other writers\, as well as a series of practical exercises you will be completing within the session. There is one short 5-minute comfort break at the midway point. If you have any specific access requirements\, please may we ask you to email us at least 10 working days clear of the session at info@literaryconsultancy.co.uk \n\n\n\n\n\nI really enjoyed this new take on how to evaluate and edit your drafts. Combining a reader’s report with this accessible tool is a fantastic way to activate your own editing skills and make the best choices for your writing. Aki was a warm\, clear and precise workshop leader who guided us through the tricky process of evaluating works in progress. \n\n\n\nPost Feedback Workshop Participant \n\n\n\n\n\nBooking\n\n\n\nIf you are a TLC client\, please remember to apply your coupon at checkout to claim your discount. If you do not have a coupon\, please email us and we will provide you with one. \n\n\n\nTickets for this workshop are strictly non refundable\, but transfer may be possible to a future workshop with at least 48 hours’ notice.
