When was the last time you asked yourself how happy you feel when you’re writing, and how happy you feel with what you’ve written? If you would like to find a writing routine that feels positive as well as productive, then join poet and writer Katrina Naomi’s ‘Writing and Happiness Workshop’ for Being A Writer. Together, we will explore how to add some oomph and resilience to your day, with writing exercises, discussion and tips to promote new work, joy, and wellbeing.

Speaker Biography

Katrina Naomi’s third poetry collection, Wild Persistence, (Seren, 2020), received an Authors’ Foundation award from the Society of Authors. Her poetry has appeared on Poems on the Underground and Radio 4’s Front Row.Her non-fiction has appeared in Hinterland (2021) and One Life, Six Words, (HarperCollins, 2008). Katrina has published four pamphlets of poetry, including the Japan-themed Typhoon Etiquette (Verve Poetry Press, 2019). She was the first writer-in-residence at the Brontë Parsonage Museum and was highly commended in the 2017 Forward Prize for Poetry. Katrina has a PhD in creative writing (Goldsmiths) and tutors for Arvon, Tŷ Newydd and the Poetry School. www.katrinanaomi.co.uk
