TLC Director Rebecca Swift and TLC Masterclass and Literary Adventures tutor Jacob Ross will be teaming up to teach a creative writing workshop on the short story as part of Small Wonder at Charleston Festival, at the beautiful Pelham House in Lewes.
The day will consist of an opportunity to look at the work of leading exponents of the short story, as well as giving participants the chance to practise their own writing skills. The session will also provide information on traditional and digital literary markets. Participants will be provided with a link to stories and extracts in advance, in order to prepare. TLC will offer a 50% discount for story assessments submitted within a month of the class.
Rebecca Swift, TLC Director, is an editor, writer and teacher. She previously worked at Virago and has published poetry, a libretto, and biography.
Jacob Ross is a novelist, short story writer and a judge for the V.S. Pritchett Memorial Prize.
‘Jacob Ross is a really gifted and perceptive teacher. It was a privilege to be in his class’ (TLC Class 2012)
